Nightmares on Wax is George Evelyn. NOW was originally Evelyn and Kevin Harper. But after their first release, 1991's A Word Of Science: The First And Final Chapter, Harper left to pursue a DJ career. It took four years for Evelyn to bring NOW back, resurfacing with Smoker's Delight, a instrumental hip-hop album with a distinctively British eclecticism.
He has been recording ever since and was instrumental in reviving hip hop pioneers, De La Soul, when they appeared on the EP The Sound of N.O.W.
