Yes, it's the Commodores on the Hump Day Retro Closet. I've always loved this song. It just brings a great mellow mood over you when you listen to it.
The Commodores were a funk powerhouse in the 70's and early 80's. However, two of their biggest hits were the ballads Easy and Three Times A Lady. Ironically, the only Grammy the Commodores received was for the hit Nightshift, a tribute to Marvin Gaye, recorded after Lionel Ritchie left the band. However, that was really the end of the line for hits for the band. But the band still lives on and is actually still touring.
