Great Northern - Home
LA based indie-pop band Great Northern was formed when Solon Bixler approached his friend Rachel Stolte with material he had been working on, and asked her if she wanted to sing and play piano for it. After writing and recording on a 4-track for several months, they added a drummer and bass player and released their first album, Trading Twilight For Daylight. The album name came from a quote by Rachel Stolte, who said that twilight is her favorite time of day, and that she sometimes wishes that it would take up a larger part of the day.
Home is off their debut album and has been used in the movie 21.
