That hook is sharp indeed, but I think he's saying "but uh oh...."
It's a nice happy song, love that acoustic strummy feel!
Found the lyrics on two different sites and both have it as 'Well uh oh' and 'But uh oh'. Either way, you can sing loudly in the shower to it.
